The infection is caused by the overgrowth of Candida, a fungus normally present in human body. Suffering from yeast or Candida infection can bring so much discomfort that sufferers want to find a quick solution to ease yeast infection symptoms.
Drink plenty of water. Increase the intake if you're already having a lot of water. Water will naturally flush out all the toxins and create urine as well, which will flush out all the bacteria in the yeast infection.
Application of apple cider vinegar is an excellent yeast infection cure. You cannot apply it directly in its concentrated form. Add one cup of apple cider vinegar into a tub of warm bath water. Use this water to wash the area thoroughly.
This suggests sticking to garments made from cotton that permits fresh air flow through every part of the body, even the "special" parts where yeast thrives. Then, avoid intercourse till your infection has cleared up.
Yogurt Filled Tampons. I know, I know, it sounds crazy, right? Well, it's a well known fact that yogurt (which contains all kinds of healthy bacteria that fights yeast) is one of the best methods to knock out an infection. But the trick is - how can you cleanly get it where it needs to go? Filling a tampon with yogurt and freezing it until it's solid is the easiest and probably creates the least amount of mess.
Probiotics refers to the balance of good bacteria in the intestinal tract. There are products in health food stores that you can take to balance your system or you can eat certain foods that have a probiotic positive effect on your system. A natural way to cure male yeast infection is vinegar. One has to just apply it on the affected area to get relief from itchiness. Vinegar is generally mixed with water for the treatment of male yeast infection. It is very much capable to relieve the soreness and itching associated with this infection. Another effective treatment popular among patients is essential oil, especially tea tree oil. In order to use tea tree oil, it is first diluted and then applied generously on the infected portion of the body.
Vinegar. Yeast does not like acidic environments. After the infection has cleared up, douche with vinegar and water once a week for three weeks. This will help get rid of any residual yeast that may not have cleared up and will prevent another episode. (If your doctor has recommended that you never use a douche, do not do this step)
can yeast infection medicine cause me to go into labor?
I’m 38 weeks, and i’m dilated. My doctor is out of town, so he told me to buy an over the counter treatment. I’m just wondering if the medicine could cause me to go into labor faster since i’m already dialated.. and would it hurt the baby? and what if the baby was born before i finished the medicine?
Yeast infections haven’t been proven to cause preterm labor, bacterial infections have. It should not affect your baby or make you go into labor
horrible reaction to monistat?
On Tuesday night I began a 7 day dose of monistat. On the 1st and 4th nights I had aweful reactions to them! Within 30 min of inserting the medicine, I had extreme itching and irritation- far worse than I had ever felt during the yeast infection itself. The 4th night was last night and I decided not to finish off the last 3 doses because of the discomfort it has caused me. I am pregnant, which is why I was told to take monistat.
My questions:
1- Have any of you had this reaction to monistat? What did you do?
2- Would my reaction have caused any harm to the baby? (I’m only 5 weeks now)
3- Are there any other over the counter or prescription yeast infection treatments that are safe for pregnant women? (I get yeast infections every few months, so even though I seem better now I think I will have this again)
Thank you for any advice!
Well my nurse suggested the monistat, but I am going to ask my Dr about getting a perscription instead.
Believe me when I tell you, I feel your pain… On Monday, I took Monistat 1, and by Wednesday night I was in the E.R! I had a terrible allergic reaction, and it basically made everything down there close to raw.. It was basically torture to pee, which is why I ended up there.. I’m sure you can imagine how embarrassing that little trip to the E.R. was.. I will never take Monistat again.. When I spoke to my doctor afterward, he told me that he never recommends Monistat because a lot of women have allergic reactions.. He prescribed Difulcan, which is a pill.. Ask your ob/gyn about it. hope you feel better soon! Today is Sunday, and I am almost back to normal.. But let’s just say it was NOT a happy thanksgiving for me.. lol
Is this safe…?
I think I am pregnant, I havent had my period since December. and I have all the signs of being pregnant. I have a yeast infection, and its driving me crazy! I was wondering if it is safe to use the over the counter treatment. Like Monastat( I think thats what it is called) will it harm the baby?
I wish I could but I only have enough money for one or the other=( I had to by diapers today.
If your 75% sure its a yeast infection, Monistat is safe. I had 4 yeast infections while pregnant with my daughter and 2 with my son. I used it all those times. My kids are fine- ages 4 and 1.
Is using yeast infection treatment supposed to itch?
I believe I have a yeast infection, but when I used the over the counter cream it was VERY VERY VERY itchy and uncomfortable. Is this normal? I talked to my doctor about it (over the phone) and he said I probably have one because of the antibiotics I was on and the constant itching and wetness (i just had a baby). I am worried now that the itch is something else… anyway- main question is if it is normal to be like horrrrible itchy when the cream is applied.
I don’t know about that, but a yeast infection itself itches like crazy!
i keep getting yeast infection i dont treat it often like i should but i do treat it now i want a baby?
so my question is can i still have kids i never went without treatment i just dont treat it as often as i should cause it keep coming back so like every 6months or so ill get some over the counter medicine can i yeast infection prevent me from having a baby enough though i have treated just not often
I would try to find out the reason why I keep getting the infection. I am not sure if it affects fertility I would guess it doesn’t.
