Constant Yeast Infections..and bleeding?
I’m almost 23 weeks. Since about wk15 I’ve seemed to have 1 big yeast infection. I’ve tried to treat it 5 times now with different prescriptions and OTC stuff.
Since about week 20 I’ve been having little spots of bright red blood off and on. I went to the doctor the morning after the first occurance of the bleeding, and they told me they suspect its placenta previa, but didn’t act overly concerned..they also said the yeast infections could be causing it the blood.
Well now last night, I’m having a greenish tinted discharge.. I called first thing this morning, and was supposed to have a nurse call me right back.. still nothing, and now they’re out to lunch.I really don’t know what I’m asking, so much as venting but imo, I would think the doctors would be a little more concerned.
I also don’t really have any other symptoms..although the baby is not as active as my first was at all, and in regards to the discharge, its very mucusy and at times my liner is soaked as if I’m leaking pee
also no itching, burning or anything that normally comes along with a yeast infection…so I question that it’s even what it is..
The last time the Dr just said I don’t need to look, you have a yeast infection
I kept a yeast infection while i was expecting too!! Its very nerve racking and makes you feel unclean!! They can cause small amounts of blood too!! If you still feel unsure about this call the dr office back!! They should support yours questions!!
Is the constant feeling of having to pee a symptom of a yeast infection?
I’m pretty sure I have a yeast infection. I also have this feeling I have to pee when I don’t. Are the two related or is it a completely different issue I have?
Probably two totally unrelated issues. Yeast is caused by an overgrowth of yeast growing in the vagina; UTI’s (bladder infections) are caused by an overgrowth of bacteria. Using antibiotics to clear up a UTI CAN however cause a yeast infection.
Also, if you have a yeast infection, it can burn when you urinate, but it will NOT cause an over-active urge to do so.
Please see your doctor. While there are OTC treatments for yeast, there is nothing reliable for a UTI. And cranberry juice (contrary to popular myth) is a good PREVENTATIVE, but it is NOT A CURE. Antibiotics are the only sure way to get rid of a UTI, and you can only get those through your doc.
Go now before things get out of hand and you end up in the ER.
Can the constant urge to pee be a symptom of a yeast infection?

Yeast Infection symptoms with slight abdominal cramps: Any help?
Never had a yeast infection but I think I might have one now but besides the original symptoms that have been happening for a week I have developed a slight abdominal cramp on my right side. It is not constant but noticeable. Are these symptoms related? Is this a yeast infection? (Itching, burning, discharge)
The itching would be severe and the discharge would be a clumpy cottage cheesy type discharge, You obviously have an infection of some kind but without running tests there is no way to know what it is. Go to urgent care or a walk in clinic and get it checked out. It could be spreading since you mention abdominal pain at times.
Im going crazy over these constant yeast infections!!! Anyone have any great prevention ideas?
I have been plagued with yeast infections for about two years now. it seems as if I get one every month. Iam on birth control (which may contribute) and currently Im on antibiotics for a UTI. Im also taking AZO yeast everyday. I have been taking them for two months and it seemed to be working but Im getting the symptoms again (burning, tender vulva and painfull sex, and little discharge). I have been tested for diabetes, hiv, and everything else that would cause a person to be consistently getting them and they come back negative. should I up my dosage of AZO yeast when taking biotics or do I need a stronger supplement?-thanks
Tia, I am in a very similar situation to you! I know how annoying chronic yeast infections can be. I used to get them every month (generally after my period) and over the counter medications would burn me and were so expensive! My aunt also suffered from chronic yeast infections and she recommended using Boric Acid powder and putting them into empty pill capsules and inserting them into the vagina. I started using a capsule at night whenever I felt itchy and normally after two nights, my yeast infection is gone. You can use Boric Acid for up to two weeks. I also use boric acid after my period just as a preventative measure.
Go to the pharmacy and ask for boric acid (in powder form) and empty pill capsules. Just fill the capsules with some of the powder and insert whenever you have an infection (or want to prevent one). The boric acid itself is super cheap. I paid $4 for large bottle which has lasted me almost a year so far.
Here is an article which explains some of the effectiveness rates of boric acid in clinical trials.
